ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival 2016
ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival returns for its second year, 17-26th June 2016. The 10-day festival is a unique platform for queer cinema, showcasing movies that focus on Chinese queer experience, alongside some of the most talked-about and compelling movies from around the world. In 2016, ShPFF is celebrating GENDER in all its forms, with films on transgender, non-binary and agender people, as well as a focus on queer women.

To continue with our commitment to support up and rising Chinese filmmaking talents, this year’s festival features a day long conference on June 25th with a programming of discussions, workshops, film screenings, and networking events attended by industry professionals of all aspects of film production and publishing. ShPFF was launched in 2015 as part of ShanghaiPRIDE to support local filmmakers and the community. We also host workshops, Q+As and panel discussions with some of the leading figures in Chinese queer cinema.
