ShanghaiPRIDE 2016 Volunteer Recruitment Starts Now
ShanghaiPRIDE Volunteer Team Introduction
ShanghaiPRIDE is an annual week-long festival that has been celebrating diversity since 2009. It is the first LGBTQ festival in Mainland China. It is organized entirely by volunteers with the support of businesses, individuals, and foreign consulates. Our aim is to create awareness, promote visibility and tolerance for the LGBTQ community through various sports, cultural, and social activities. As a non-profit festival, ShanghaiPRIDE supports local grassroots development and fundraises for projects related to diversity issues. ShanghaiPRIDE promotes cross-cultural exchange locally as well as with LGBTQ festivals across Asia.
Over the past seven years, ShanghaiPRIDE has trained outstanding volunteers who come from all over the world to help and participate in this festival. All of the core organizing members of the festival are from the volunteer team.
