ShPTF – The Improvisors: Big Big World

There are two things in life one has to do impulsively. One is to fall in love. The other is to travel.
Oh, there is one more thing, quit a job.
I stood up and looked around the office with my eyes red.
At that moment, I decided to make a change.

I submitted my resignation letter to my boss. In the letter, I wrote: this world is so big that I want to have a look at it.
My boss said nothing. He tore the letter and gave me a theatre ticket.

I realized later that I didn’t need to go anywhere!
Some people go far away searching for their true selves. They believe that what they are looking for is far away. Some people are satisfied with what they already have. They want to cherish their small world.
What does a big world look like exactly?
“Big world” is not right here and right now, instead, is the distance in our heart. It signifies change, hope, rich experiences and more possibilities.

“Big world” is a place where you and numerous different persons are all there.
You could
Observe people bargaining in a nearby market
Helplessly forced to go to Blind Date Corner at People’s Square hiding your “gayness”
Hangout at the street stalls having a beer with the barbecue chef
Or gossip with the bartender.

This world is so big that I want to have a look at it.
It’s not necessary to travel in order to see the world. Making a new friend and getting to know a new story are impressive enough to realize that the world is so brilliant.
Big Big World, produced by the Improvisors, in conjunction with ShPTF, invites you to sit down in a small theatre to feel the big world.
Half of the proceeds will be donated to non-profit organizations nationwide to participate in ShanghaiPRIDE. To a colorful world!
