【Recap】PRIDE8 Art&Photo Exhibition Opening
Shanghai June 17th – ShanghaiPRIDE Art & Photo Exhibition 2016 presents “性别 Gender”, an extension to the main theme “生为平常 I Am Me”. Five talented artists from different industries will share their understanding of the theme through brush and lens. 
The evening proceeded with the introduction of ShanghaiPRIDE and about the inspirations of the exhibition by curator, Lin Tao. Then artist Gus shared with the guests his “Bearded Pin-ups Series” and his study about idealized male beauty. Artist Claudio expressed the concept of his artworks which portrays gender as part of our personality, and that each one builds their own gender idea based on their experiences and own nature. 
Although absent due to busy schedule, artist Lilian Shen (artworks about journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, growth and change), Nansen (artworks showcase different genders is seen through his eyes) and Sakuraway (artworks focus on male body art to show the unique and special beauty of it) sent their love to the guests of the art and photo exhibition. 
The evening followed with duet Yoga performance by Drishti Vinyasa Yoga Studio and chanting exercise by the instructor. Xin Café also provided customized rainbow coffee packs to the guests for the evening. Special thanks to Garden Restaurant & Bar for the refreshments and to everyone who came.
