Music is everywhere.

It’s an endless field of sounds and silences,

rhythms and beats, in different styles,

different genres, played by different instruments

and sung by different voices.

Yet all of that is music.

People are just as vastly different

we all have different backgrounds,

preferences, lifestyles, and identities.
ShanghaiPRIDE is celebrating diversity for the 10th year,

and this year’s theme is

Our Community | Our Identity | Our Pride
MusicLAB has always used music as a tool for self-expression,

and to encourage everyone to be whoever they are.

This April, ShanghaiPRIDE and MusicLAB

are coming together in an evening

in which diversity will be celebrated,

encouraged and expressed through music.

MusicLAB and ShanghaiPRIDE are bringing you the chance to learn a new instrument and explore your creativity, while socializing with new people.

Do you already know how to play an instrument?

You’re welcome to share your skills with others,

and learn how to play a new one!

Would you rather sing, instead of playing an instrument?

Then bring your voice to our song!

In the end of the session,

we will create a song for ShanghaiPRIDE,

which we will play on a show in June!
