Meet Andy, a charming and chill Hong Kong hottie and the owner of Asia Blue. With 10 years of experience in the business, he has tuned his bar with a relaxing vibe, so it feels like your own living room, with Tiffany lamps, drum sets, velvet sofas and leafy plants outside the window close enough to touch. Signature drinks are all on offer. One house recommendation: “THE BIG COUPLE.” Don’t be surprised by our barmen’s nicknames—yes that mixologist who just served your drink is called “Beauty Lin”—but sorry not sorry, they are mostly straight. (Even though they are fine af.)

2-Eddy’s Bar

Eddy’s is proud to claim itself THE oldest gay bar in Shanghai, perhaps all of Mainland China. First opening in 1995, the venue has relocated multiple times. As it shuttered and reopened, Eddy’s has witnessed a history of social change and the ups and downs of Shanghai gay community through the years. After breaking up with his ex, who was also the co-manager, the bar’s eponymous owner Eddy has now found his husband Michael, nicknamed “Lao Mai.” A proud expat in China, Lao Mai has helped Eddy perfect the business, at one point being selected as Shanghai’s “best LGBT club.” The couple has blessed the bar with a tranquil atmosphere, full of flickering candlelight and old tales.

About the activities:

Our volunteers will guide you to take a picture in front of our ShanghaiPRIDE themed borads. Share the pictures on your social media (Weibo, WeChat, LGBTQ APP, etc.) and you’ll be offered a Pride souvenir.
Different venues have different color themes. If you collect souvenirs from all six colors of the LGBTQ Pride Flag (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple), you’ll win the FAST PASS to the ShanghaiPRIDE Bling Party, taking place on June 9.
