ShanghaiPRIDE Theatre Festival Ⅲ
The Absence of Reason
“The Absence Of Reason” by Theatre Anon is the first theater play of ShanghaiPRIDE Theatre Festival in June. It is about love, desire, and loss. The actors delivered a powerful performance and the audience was deeply moved by the emotions conveyed.
After the play, the audience gave a long round of thunderous applause. The cast came back to the stage again to take another bow. The audience even stayed behind and discussed the play.

02 Pride10 Anniversary Gallery Opening
Meet and Greet
The Co-founders, organizers, and volunteers of ShanghaiPRIDE attended Pride10 Anniversary Gallery Opening and shared with the audience their memories related to Pride.
Charlene Liu shared her emotions about ShanghaiPRIDE with the attendees and thanked the participants for their support. She then led the group on a tour around the gallery.
Message Wall
A Message Wall is set up in the Gallery displaying the messages left by the organizers, partners, and volunteers in the past 9 years. Don’t forget to leave your mark on it!
Some attendees put their wishes on the Message Wall, while some left their names alongside their significant others’. On top of that, many attendees wished ShanghaiPRIDE a fabulous celebration for its 10th anniversary. We’d like to express our gratitude for your support!
Over the Years
Pride10 is not only an important milestone for the LGBTQ movement in Shanghai, but also for Mainland China as a whole.
The Gallery is showcasing the history of ShanghaiPRIDE together with the joy of celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Thank you to HowFun Paella Bar and Polar Bear Gallery for supporting Pride10 Anniversary Gallery. During the exhibition (June 8 to July 1, closed on Monday), you will have an opportunity to meet some of our senior organizers in person. You may also join our guided tours.
