The closing ceremony of the ShPFF 2018 was successfully held last Sunday, but that was not the end of ShPFF 2018!
On June 20~22 and 26, ShPFF will have encore screenings and special screenings! Before releasing more information, let us take a quick look at the highlights of ShPFF 2018!

A film marathon lasting 8 days and 33 hours, ShPFF organized diverse film screenings, discussions, talks and a workshop. All 1200 seats were grabbed out in just the first few days.
The encore screenings and special screenings that will begin this week cover excellent films from China, Canada, UK, Australia, Norway, Iceland, Singapore, India, Myanmar, etc. Philippe Mangeot, the co-screenwriter of 120 BPM will come to Shanghai and meet with the audience too!

Nefise Özkal Lorentzen
Nefise Özkal Lorentzen, a Turkish-Norwegian writer, filmmaker and producer living in Oslo. She got the bachelor’s degree in Political Science of Bosphorus University and master degree of Media and Communication in Universitetet i Oslo.
In the past 20 years, she has directed several controversial documentaries about Islam and gender. For her contributions to LGBTQ community and human rights, she was awarded as one of top 10 ten immigrant models in Norway. Her documentary trilogy “Gender Me” (2008), “A Balloon for Allah” (2011) and “Man Islam” (2014) show these stories to the world,giving these stories vitality.
Nefise has won several awards and nominations. Her films are screened on a couple of famous film festivals, such as IDFA, Rhode Island International Film Festival and Goteborg International Film Festival.
