Recap | The hottest Drag Party in Shanghai!

Shanghai’s biggest drag show – ShanghaiLGBT Annual Drag Competition & Party –was held at Lucca390 on Nov 30.

Drag queens and kings from all over the country gathered in Shanghai to wow the audiences and judges with their fierce performances.

This year’s competition was full of surprises and new first-time milestones: Our winner was a queen based outside of Shanghai, and we had a transgender queen perform in the competition. We also enjoyed a strong representation of drag king performers this year (with one of them snagging second place in the amateur awards!), and we had a theme for the best looks – FLOWERS (of course!)

After the competition ended and the winners were announced, the best amateur drag queen and the best professional drag queen brought down the house with exhilarating encore performances. The night then culminated in a dance party with the fiery beats of DJ e-cosmic, making for a joyful celebration of all forms of drag!
