ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival 2020 Postponed

The ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival Team has decided to postpone ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival 2020, which was initially scheduled to be held 14-21 June, because of COVID-19 preventive measures. This is not the end of the rainbow and only a slight pause as we try to figure out the best plan forward. The team is working hard to organize screenings later this year in Shanghai. After every storm comes some sunshine, and this international crisis has allowed us to look into scheduling online screenings and discussions. We hope that our LGBTQ community will also be able to support us in offering smaller offline screenings.

Earlier this year, ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival 2020 received overwhelming support from filmmakers, international LGBTQ film festivals, partners, and film-goers. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone. The ShPFF team apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the postponement and will follow up with the latest progress and preventative measures required. We will update more once we can specify the program for ShPFF 2020. We look forward to Raising the Pride together through film later this year.
