As workplace inclusion and equality continues to be one of ShanghaiPRIDE’s top priorities, we are excited to announce our first ever Pride Job Fair in June 2020.
It’s time for PRIDE to not only be at our parties, our homes, and personal circles, but also in our workplaces! This event brings employers and job seekers together learning the value of an inclusive workplace for all.
You Deserve a Safe and Inclusive Workplace
A recent survey showed that only five percent of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) employees in China felt comfortable “coming out” in the workplace while 14 percent have reported being denied employment for being LGBTQ (United Nations Development Programme and the Sexualities Research Program, 2017).
This data tells the truth that LGBTQ in the workplace is still challenging for many of us, even though the world is progressing faster in this space. Given that an average full-time employee today spend 40+ hours at work weekly and 2000+ hours annually, LGBTQ employees need to be able to find workplaces where they could feel safe, included, and have equal access to benefits such as private health insurance, marriage leave, parental leave, or relocation support for spouses and family members.
The Pride Job Fair aims to be a leading event that connects diverse talents and inclusive companies in China. With a leadership team of experienced volunteer leaders from top businesses ranging from HR to diversity consulting background, we are ready to help you identify and connect with the top inclusive employers in China. Entry is free for all job seekers, prior registration is required.

Event Participation and Health Check Entry Notice
a.All participants must register prior to attending an event. Upon entry, participants are required to measure their body temperature. If the participant’s temperature exceeds 37.3℃, or if the participant has a cough, shortness of breath or other flu-like symptoms, they shall not be allowed entry.
b.Please wear masks when entering and leaving the venue.
c.Please show your GREEN Shanghai QR Code when entering the venue. Participants with Shanghai QR Codes in other colors are not allowed to enter.
d.There is a limitation on the number of participants for all events. There will be no further admission once we reach maximum capacity for an event.
