Rainbow Anti-Gender-Based Violence Service Center Hangzhou Station Project “Growth Group”
In 2017, the proceeds from our Pride Run will go towards the Common Language Rainbow Anti-Gender-Based Violence Service Center Hangzhou Station Project “Growth Group”, set to commence in the second half of the year. Since October 2016, Rainbow Anti-Gender-Based Violence Service Center has dealt with issues related to sexual orientation and gender choice, as well as helping to resolve conflict with family and partners. Through counselling, support groups and other social models, the organisation helps to address issues of identity, growth & experience, family relationships, emotional management, developing plans for the future and many others. After a total of eight sessions, under the compassionate guidance of the growth group, those involved learn to accept themselves and develop constructive emotional strategies in order to better face the problems they encounter in life.
About Rainbow Anti-Gender-Based Violence Service Center
Rainbow Anti-Gender-Based Violence Service Center for LGBTI People aims to provide direct intervention service in terms of gender-based violence (GBV) for the community of gender and sexual minorities, specifically by increasing community members’ awareness against GBV and their ability to resist violence, while at the same time improving the skills of workers who provide direct domestic violence intervention service.
Rainbow Anti-GBV Service Center is founded with the support of Common Language. Since 2007, Common Language has devoted attention to domestic violence among gender and sexual minorities, conducting a number of researches regarding the issue.
