ShPTF | ShanghaiPRIDE Theatre Festival 2018 Programme

This year’s ShanghaiPRIDE Theatre Festival will start from May 12 and last until early July.

ShanghaiPRIDE Theatre Festival 2018 Programme

Performances will be more diverse this year, ranging from different genres to languages. Chinese plays “Pride” and “She Says” will examine local LGBTQ issues and female sexuality respectively. “I am NeZha” will examine queer related topics in the form of a “queer monologue”. English play “ The Absence of Reason: Extracts of the Heart” is a play about love.  There will also be hilarious Chinese and English Improv shows.

In addition, ShPTF will also host a script reading session and a script writing workshop for participants to review, understand, present, and depict LGBTQ-related issues via the creative processes of theatre production.
