01 ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival

The second day of ShPFF took place at Cafe Sambal on the evening of June 11.

The films screened include ShPFF 2018 Chinese Short Film Awards nominees Echo Each Other, Expiration Date, Tidal, and Cubed; Swedish films No More We and Sleepover; and Australian film and winner of 22nd Busan International Film Festival Audience Award, Pulse.

The directors of No More We and Sleepover, David Färdmar and Jimi Vall Peterson, respectively, sent sent their best wishes to ShPFF via video messages. Joshua Griffiths, representative from the Australian Consulate General Shanghai shared about the diversity of Australia and recent achievements for the Aussie LGBTQ community.

Long Gao, a volunteer from PFLAG Shanghai and Shanghai International Deaf Film Festival, shared his journey of identity discovery and his work/life experience.

Despite it being a weekday evening, the event was crowded with eager and enthusiastic audience. The diverse and unique films were received very positively from the audience.
