01 ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival
At June 15 7pm, the sixth screening day of ShPFF 2018 was held at Biblioteca Miguel de Cervantes. During the 3-hour-long screening, over 60 audience enjoyed 4 LGBTQ films, including ShPFF 2018 Chinese Short Film Awards Best Editing, and Best Sound & Music winner——Being A Queen; Peru presented The Good Friend and It’s Not Your Fault while Spain presented Anchor and Hope.
Before the screening, the Post-Production Director of VICE China, Mason Na shared briefly about how he got involved with the film, Becoming A Queen. He also joined the ShPFF Talks+Workshop as one of key speakers, and had more in-depth discussions with the audience. Guillermo Mendoza, Deputy Consul of the Consulate General of Peru in Shanghai sent his best wishes to ShanghaiPRIDE and enjoyed the films together with the audience.

02 ShanghaiPRIDE Theatre Festival IV – Chinese Improv Show
ShanghaiPRIDE Theatre Festival Chinese Improv shows were held on June 15.
With Flyimprov, the laughter never stopped, as they conquered the audience with razor-sharp wit.
The all-girls improv troupe, Zmack Zhimakong, were a breath of fresh air whenever they graced the stage. The crowd were laughing to tears whenever a poem was created with family names randomly picked from the audience.
Meanwhile, the Improvisers performed with such skill that they completely blurred the line between traditional genders. Whether playing male, female, or third gender roles, they showcased true freedom of the human spirit.
We would like to express our appreciation to all of the performers for a fun night, and to Tiger Cafe for venue support.
